The“Eye-to-Eye” statue that was commissioned by Dr. David Ramsey in 2009 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the ACVO is now available to ACVO Diplomates to purchase. The original statue, created by sculptor Jim Gion, was featured on the cover of the AVMA Journal. Dr. Ramsey then donated the sculpture to the ACVO Vision for Animals Foundation auction where it fetched a price of over $5,000 (buyer name excluded for privacy).

Mr. Gion has offered to provide a limited number of maquette, or miniature statues. ACVO diplomates have the opportunity purchase a limited edition “Eye-to-Eye” sculpture (approximately 50) at a reduced rate which includes a donation to the VAF. Mr. Gion has offered to produce these on order without expense to the ACVO or the Foundation. The maquettes will be available in both male and female versions.
