Because of your generosity in the past seven years, the Foundation has funded 31 grants for a total of $146,668.88. With your help, the Foundation aspires to raise 1-1.5 million dollars to become self-funding and begin to fund new grant programs.
 
   

2011 Grant Announcement - Invitation for ACVO Resident Research Grant Proposals

The ACVO Vision for Animals Foundation will offer 5-7 research grants to ACVO-approved residents in areas of veterinary ophthalmology for 2011-2011. Proposals must be received digitally via email by December 15, 2011. All successful proposals will be announced February 1, 2012.

Residents must be in ACVO-approved residencies and sponsored by his/her ACVO mentor(s). Grants for up to $5,000 may be submitted. The ACVO-VAF will support research supplies, materials, limited equipment, publication and salary for technical support. The ACVO-VAF does not support the salary of the resident, salary of the faculty mentor, tuition, major equipment, or institutional indirect costs. Animal related experiments require approval by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee with the proposal submission. Results of the research must be presented at the annual ACVO meeting.
