Cynthia S. Cook Memorial Endowment
The VAF is proud to announce the creation of the Cynthia S. Cook Endowment Fund, established with a generous gift of $500,000 from the Cook-Pruitt Trust, in memory of ACVO diplomate, Dr. Cynthia Cook.
These funds are designated to provide for the long-term security and sustainability of the VAF, in perpetuity. A small percentage of annual earnings from the endowment investment account will be used to fund the VAF’s operations but the remainder will be reinvested for further financial growth.
Paul Pruitt, husband of the late Dr. Cook, has offered to match contributions, up to $100,000, from ACVO members and friends who donate to the Cynthia S. Cook Endowment Fund in 2024. We are hoping to raise this match with 100 gifts of $1,000.

Make a Pet Letter Donation
Diplomates – or other DVMs- can support the ACVO Vision for Animals Foundation by making contributions in memory of their patients. A personal letter is sent to each client notifying them of the gift in honor of their pet.
Contributions can also be made in honor of clients, friends or family members.

The VAF’s annual fundraiser will take place on Friday, October 25 at Myrtle & Rose Rooftop Bar in Savannah, GA. Tickets are $125. For more information.
Planned Giving
In planned giving, donors make charitable gifts that secure the future of the charity, and may financially benefit the donor through tax-saving benefits.
The ACVO Vision for Animals Foundation (VAF) welcomes planned gifts, which ensure we can continue to fund important research to eliminate ocular diseases that cause vision loss and suffering in animals.
Bequests are one of the simplest ways to make a planned gift. A bequest to the VAF can be in your will or a provision in your living trust. Such gifts can be made in a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, from a life insurance policy or in the form of marketable securities.
